UNDERGROUND PASSAGE

This is an embroidered napkin inspired by public design. I have always liked to combine what seems incongruous: the aesthetics of a cozy home interior and an urban subway, bold graffiti and classic framed paintings, the busy traffic of the streets and quiet solitude.
In my art I try to follow the principles of sustainability, so I used only "old" materials to create this object. The napkin I found second hand and the vintage silk threads were given to me by a friend. So, each element of this work has its own story, which makes it even more special.
Special thanks for the photo to Sergey Nazarov.
